This magnificent beer mug from the 19th century shows a detailed depiction of the historical cityscape of Augusta Vindelicorum, ancient Augsburg. The mug is in very good condition for its age, with only slight signs of wear and an intact, artistically designed surface. With a height of around 15 cm and a diameter of 10 cm, the mug has a classic cylinder shape made of high-quality stoneware with a fine, cream-colored glaze. The delicately crafted cityscape runs around the entire body and shows striking buildings such as church towers, city walls and historic houses in warm earth tones. A Latin inscription adorns the upper edge of the mug, referring to the city depicted. The robust handle and the uniform shape are testament to excellent craftsmanship. This beer mug is not only a functional drinking vessel, but also a fascinating historical document and decorative collector's item that brings the history of an important German city to life.
