Elegant stoneware jug with approx. 21 cm

This elegant stoneware jug in the characteristic gray-blue Westerwald style represents the high-quality craftsmanship of the 19th century. The jug is in a very good state of preservation, but shows slight signs of wear and a fine craquelure in the glaze, which is typical for historical stoneware dishes of this type. The bulbous jug with a curved handle and pronounced spout is decorated with an artistic cobalt blue decoration that runs in sweeping ornaments and geometric patterns across the finely structured, light gray surface. A particularly attractive detail is the traditional glaze, which gives the vessel its characteristic shine and makes it an authentic testimony to historical pottery.
