This enchanting guitar zither from the first half of the 20th century impresses with its classic shape and the hand-painted rose motif, which is typical of traditional folk music in southern Germany. The condition of the instrument shows clear signs of use with rust on the metal parts and wear on the black wooden body, which, however, underlines the authentic character of the instrument. Several strings have been severed and need to be replaced. The compact zither has a characteristic trapezoidal basic shape with a distinctive row of tuning pegs and a clear scale at the bottom. As a rare testimony to traditional music culture, this instrument is suitable both as a decorative exhibit and as a restorable musical instrument for collectors.
