A fascinating historical newspaper clipping from 1897, showing one of the "strange trees of Germany" - the imposing windblown fir in Forstenrieder Park near Munich. The print is in a remarkably good state of preservation for its age, showing slight yellowing due to age and only minimal signs of wear on the edges. The artistic black and white lithograph in the format of approximately 15 x 10 cm impresses with its detailed depiction of the windblown fir and its natural surroundings, signed "A. Neumann 87". As a rare contemporary document of German natural history and the art of printing of the late 19th century, this collector's item is ideal for lovers of historical botany and regional Bavarian history.
